Journey Weekend is a weekend of in-depth discipleship. Pastor Todd Cothran from CrossLife Church in Charlottesville will be our speaker this year and the theme will be “Anchored.” (if theme changes, I will let you know ASAP) We will be looking at some of the big questions surrounding the faith such as “If God is good, why does He allow bad things to happen?”, “What evidence is there for the existence of God?”, etc. Students will walk away more grounded in their own belief, recognizing that faith in Jesus is not a blind leap into intellectual fog but a calculated step backed by empirical evidence. Students will stay in a host home overnight on Friday and Saturday nights with a group of 7-10 students of the same age/gender. The cost for the event is $35 which includes six meals and a T-shirt.
